Harrahs Hotel Las Vegas Weddings
Harrahs Hotel Las Vegas is one of the older hotels on the strip, but it has a charm, kitsch factor, Mardi Gras theme, and generally laid back, friendly environment that brings people back again and again.
We really like Harrah's casino, which harks back to the golden age of the Las Vegas Strip. While it's not as polished or flashy as the newer and more extravagant hotels, it has a comfortable feel.
Harrahs does not have a wedding chapel on site, nor does it have a wedding planning staff. It does have a relationship with the wedding chapel at its sister hotel, the Rio, and arrangements can be made through the concierge.
Harrahs Hotel Las Vegas benefits from a monorail stop at the hotel, which provides convenient transportation up and down the strip, from the Tropicana at the south end to Stratosphere and the Las Vegas Convention Center to the north. the monorail is by far the easiest way to get around town, as Las Vegas Boulevard tends to be gridlocked most of the time.
While using the Rio chapel is an option, if you want to stay at Harrahs and while having a Las Vegas wedding, we have a couple other suggestions we feel are much better alternatives, especially since the Rio is a good distance from Harrahs and the Strip.
These wedding alternatives are:
- Use the wedding planners and wedding facilities at the nearby Flamingo Las Vegas, which is also part of the “Harrahs Family”. The Flamingo has great wedding facilities, and a very helpful wedding planning staff.
- Have your wedding at the Little Church of the West, located not far from the southern end of the monorail line, across from Mandalay Bay. This is a beautiful little chapel on immaculate grounds that we highly recommend.
The Harrahs Carnival court is a climate controlled outdoor chopping area and bar, and it is an incredibly fun place to spend a warm spring, summer, or fall night. It adds to the overall easygoing, fun-loving atmosphere of Harrahs.
While it lacks wedding facilities, Harrahs Hotel Las Vegas is a great choice for anyone looking for a laid back, fun wedding and/or honeymoon.
