Sahara Hotel Las Vegas
Shahara Hotel weddings, casinos, and entertianment
The Sahara Hotel Las Vegas is one of the older properties on the Strip, located north of the Wynn and south of the Stratosphere.
With 1720 rooms spread over 25 floors, the Sahara is best known in recent times for its NASCAR cafe and for "Speed: the Ride", its new indoor/outdoor roller coaster, the first of its kind "Linear Induction Motors" (magnetic force) coaster in the Western U.S.
The Sahara has an in-house wedding chapel, which are is located in a converted conference room in the rear of the property, on the second level, near the buffet.
The Sahara also has an in-house wedding planning staff which can help with with every facet of your wedding planning process.
The Sahara Chapel wedding planning staff can be reached toll-free at 1-800-398-6928.
Wedding packages at the Sahara are quite reasonably priced, ranging from $299 for the very basic "Cupid Special" to $599 for their "Five Star Package", which includes a much larger photo p[ackage and floral upgrades.
The Sahara is currently a bit isolated at its location on the North Strip, though this will change as several resorts are currently under construction on adjacent properties.
The hotel itself is decent enough, though, despite the addition of the NASCAR Cafe and the advanced coaster, it still feels a bit dated.
(The coaster is pretty cool - it includes a long tunnel and a 250 incline that raises straight up into the air. The coaster flies up the incline, coming to a dead stop at its very top before plunging backwards down to the ground.)
While the Sahara might not compare to its more luxurious neighbors to the south along the Strip, its wedding staff is very pleasant and helpful, and its chapel is nice enough.
But the biggest selling points here are the low wedding package prices - you get a lot for your money at the Sahara.
